(Photo by Kevin Mazur/WireImage for Parkwood) On April 28, Beyoncé officially kicked off her latest worldwide concert trek. The Cowboy Carter tour supports her album of the same name, which marked one of her boldest pivots yet. The full-length saw her move into country — a genre few could have predicted she’d ever attempt to explore — and she’s earned a career high win with it. As the Cowboy Carter tour gets underway, millions of fans are preparing to see the singer-songwriter as she ventures across the U.S. and Europe throughout the spring and summer. The album at the center of the trek returns to Billboard’s most important albums ranking yet again as the world prepares to celebrate and honor the set once more. Cowboy Carter Returns to the Billboard 200 Cowboy Carter is back on the Billboard 200 this week. A mix of anticipation and excitement around the tour, coupled with the fact that this is a slightly less crowded frame on the tally, contributed to the project’s comeback. This frame, Cowboy Carter lands in the lower rungs of the Billboard 200, Billboard’s ranking of the most consumed albums in the country. The tally blends both sales and streaming activity to show which collections Americans are actually listening to. It reenters at No. 193 on the 200-spot roster. Cowboy Carter’s Streaming Domination Luminate reports that in the past tracking period, Cowboy Carter shifted about 8,350 equivalent units. Streaming activity is largely responsible for its placement on the Billboard 200, as only about 10% of those units — fewer than 800 — were pure purchases. Cowboy Carter Soars on Genre-Specific Lists As it reappears on the Billboard 200, Cowboy Carter is also on the rise on the only two other Billboard rankings where it appears this frame. It sits highest on the Top Americana/Folk Albums roster, pushing three spaces to No. 15. It grows nine spaces on the Top Country Albums list, returning to the top 40 as it lands at No. 35. Cowboy Carter Previously Hit No. 1 on Each and Every Chart Cowboy Carter has previously hit No. 1 on each of the three Billboard albums rankings it appears on this week. It has spent 56 weeks on both of the genre-specific lists and 43 on the Billboard 200, having fallen off the ranking only to return on multiple occasions.
