Ark Labs Launches Bitcoin-native Layer 2 Arkade Public Beta
BlockBeats News, October 21st, according to The Block, after two years of development, Ark Labs, supported by investors such as Draper Associates, Axiom, and Fulgur Ventures, officially launched the native Layer 2 Arkade on Bitcoin for public testing.
Arkade is based on the Ark Protocol specification proposed in 2023, and its launch marks the first mainnet implementation of this concept. Arkade virtualizes Bitcoin transaction layers through Virtual Transaction Outputs (VTXOs) — VTXOs are off-chain representations of Bitcoin's native Unspent Transaction Outputs (UTXOs). Arkade operates without modifying Bitcoin's consensus rules, fully realizing it within the existing security framework.
